Austwow Guild Rules
Respect everyone in the guild and comply with those of higher rank. Do not under any circumstances engage in argumentative behavior in public guild channels, parties, or raids. Settle differences personally in a whisper conversation or ask an officer to step in if you feel it is necessary.
You will not engage in any crude, foul, or offensive dialog with any member at any time.
Keep personal disagreements and arguments out of the public channels. Discuss them privately or talk to a guild leader.
Keep the guild chat at a PG level at all times.
Expect level-appropriate help for your characters.
DO NOT ask other players to give you money or items. We've all worked hard to EARN our things and expect you to do the same.
Guild participation is required. It can be as simple as participating in guild chat or helping someone out with a question.
Currently, we do not have a raid attendance requirement.
Alts are welcome.
If you choose not to comply with the AM core rules, you will be subject to disciplinary action as determined by the guild leadership. Disciplinary actions may include, but are not limited to, temporary suspension from guild raids and removal from the guild.
Austwow Loot Rules
These are the loot rules that all members and initiates should follow in Allied Militia.
Allied Militia members follow the Need-Before-Greed (NBG) Rule of looting. Simply put, this means that you may only roll need for an item if the character you are in the instance with is able to use the item and it is an upgrade for that character. If you roll need for an item, the item must be equipped at the time of winning the item. The person will be inspected to verify that the item has been equipped. After that, you may use your original gear. If you roll need for an item, it had better not be seen in the Auction House or in Trade channel for sale. Need rolls are to be used strictly for items you are going to use, not to sell.
Need rolls are done by typing "/roll" in the raid/party chat.
Greed rolls are done by typing "/roll 1000" in the raid/party chat.
If an item is Bind on Pickup (BoP), need will be determined and those with need will roll for the item. If no one has need for it, it will be immediately disenchanted and the results of the disenchanted item will be placed in the lottery at the end of the raid.
Items that are Bind on Equip (BoE) will be saved for lottery at the end of the raid. At that time, if someone has need for an item, they may roll need. Otherwise, all rolls will be greed rolls. When a person wins an item in the lottery, they will sit down and not roll until everyone in the raid has won an item. When the master looter indicates that everyone has won an item for that round, everyone may stand up and begin rolling again for items (referred to as "All in"). This process will continue until all items available for the lottery have been awarded to members of the raid. Items won in the lottery that were won by GREED rolls are yours to do with as you please. Items won in the lottery that were won by NEED rolls follow the same rules listed above. The item must be equipped and inspected and not sold in the Auction House or Trade Channel.
10-man and 25-man Raids
We currently do not use a DKP system to handle loot in 10-man and 25-man raid instances. Loot follows the same basic Need-Before-Greed (NBG) Rule of looting used in all non-DKP instances, except to help distribute loot better we have implemented the following rule for Bind on Pickup (BOP) items:
For items that are Bind on Pickup (BOP), a priority will be given to the class(es) eligible to roll for an item and will be announced before rolls begin. If a player is part of the class(es) given priority for an item but has already won a Bind on Pickup (BOP) item in the current raid, they will not be allowed to roll on the item unless all who have been given priority for the item and have not won a Bind on Pickup (BOP) item pass on the item or unless all who have been given priority for an item have already won a Bind on Pickup (BOP) item in the same raid. If all class(es) with priority pass on the item, the item will be offered to class(es) who can use use the item. If all pass on the item, it will be disenchanted and the results of disenchanting will be rolled on at end of the raid following regular guild loot rules.
